Help make a difference
Grant-Making Charitable Trusts and Foundations make a vital difference to our work.
Over the years Trusts have supported us in a variety of ways by funding:
• Specific services or projects
• Salary costs
• Equipment costs
Many also choose to award us an unrestricted grant to allocate to whichever area of our work needs it most. In some instances grants are made over a number of years, which is fantastic for our charity and greatly appreciated. Longer-term commitments ensure a sustainable future for our services, and allow us to plan effectively for the future.
Meeting the crew and seeing the lifesaving helicopter and its equipment first hand really is the best way to get a true understanding of the range of vital services we provide to the people of Wiltshire, as well as the major issues involved with funding the service.

In 2023 Persimmon Homes Wessex used their community grant programme to donate to Wiltshire Air Ambulance's emergency awareness training programme.
The local housebuilder, which has a substantial development footprint across Wiltshire, handed over £5,000 to help deliver the lifesaving training in local schools.
To mark the housebuilder’s donation, representatives from the business and Wiltshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Education, Cllr Dominic Muns, visited Castle Mead Primary School in Trowbridge (pictured) to witness the programme first-hand, which was led by Andrew Robinson.
The donation funded the delivery of our emergency awareness training programme to just over 1,500 local children.

Did you know?
It costs £4.5 million a year to keep the air ambulance flying. We receive no regular direct Government funding or National Lottery grants, so rely on generous donations from the public and local businesses to continue our lifesaving service.
